Yes I do
Continually pestered at home by
Parents,neighbours and well-wishers
We want to see your husband!
Helter-skelter in search for the lucky man, found
Having spoken sweet words, for better, for worst
Easily taken in
Drags to the alter.
Standing before them
A man of God
Reads from the marriage pamphlet to the lady
"Would you love this man in ill-health,
Ill-wealth and in all situations until
Death do you apart!?"
Prompt retort,"Yes I do!"
Couple of months after wedding
Her demands can't be met
Things fall apart,
The centre cannot hold
Wants to seek love somewhere
Didn't you say:"Yes I do!"?
