I don't want to be a good man
I don't want to be a good man
Nevertheless I find myself doing good
Want it counted unto Jesus
Become father christmas
If I persevere
And would be besieged by every person
The world would see me as a loved man
But if there be a slight shift in fortune
Would they be there to help carry on?
This question haunts me day and night
The answer is quick forthcoming
They would disappear into the thin air
Never to be seen again
Except fortune smiles again
When it does smile
They are near at hand
Want to play it the old way again
Play the bad man in me
I would be christened names
But not to be bothered.
